Resilience Engineering as a Way to Manage Trade-offs

10.03.2015, 16:00 – 17:30

Resilience Engineering is a scientific discipline that focuses on the development principles, methods and practices that help systems/organizations to sustain required operations under both expected and unexpected conditions in an increasingly interconnected world. Trade-offs are created by e.g. new ways of collaboration, new technological capabilities, new performance pressures and new forms of complexity. The presentation will reflect on the latest developments in Resilience Engineering as a way to navigate trade-offs to facilitate discussions and on how to put related techniques and practices in action.
